Hello there and welcome to another day of Stashtacular! And since it's Wednesday and I haven't done a WIP Link up with Lee and the rest of the quilters I thought today would be a good day for that!
To get all the details about this crazy event hosted by me, Jenna of Sew Happy Geek and Stephanie of Spontaneous Threads go to the Stashtacular Flickr page there you'll find out how to enter for lots of prizes and get in on the fabric swap (where you can win more fabric) & our 'make a tutorial contest'.
Today's tutorial is brought to you by Stephanie at Spontaneous Threads, it's called Take Me Out, PLEASE; a cute little clutch perfect for your next night out.....check out her blog to get this stash busting idea!
This week Jenna at Sew Happy Geek is hosting our giveaway sponsored by 1Choice4Quilting, it's a $25 gift certificate (maybe for new fabric)!
And as always a big thanks to our sponsors! The Fat Quarter Shop & 1Choice4 Quilting
I hope you join us for all the goings on today and for the rest of the month as we use up that stash of fabric -- I know you've got to have one! Thanks so much for joining in and let's use up our stash (so we can go shopping again!)

Wow, it has been a whole month since my last WIP, it doesn't feel like that long ago I finished up the top for my Grandma in Law and got ready to get packed for NY. My list looks a lot different now, and I love that I am getting my UFO's out of the drawers and quilted -- and off of the list and onto the sewing machine.
Here's the pictures of what I'm working on...
Shrinking Squares Moda Fabrics, big floral backing fabric, polka dots for the binding and charm packs for the squares
Strips sewn together for the Shrinking Squares, so colorful!
I have had a shrinking squares pattern on my projects list for a long time, since last fall when I finished the first one, and now I'm putting together this one and I will be sharing the pattern with you guys in a couple weeks for my last tutorial of Stashtacular.
It's a really easy quilt, but a great challenge as well because of all the seams, a really good practice quilt for your 1/4" piecing!

Once this one is done it will be on to J's quilt - a queen size, reproduction fabrics from the 1800's - 1930's....lots of brown, tan, red and blues thrown in. I am still tinkering with the design but I am wanting to mix 5" HST and 9-12" Star blocks together.
Fabric's for J's quilt, some of my favorites too!
The next two projects are quilting...the top one I made at a super bowl quilting class my sister and I took together in 2007 (I think!) It was a long time ago and it was just a little too big to quilt in the machine so it's going to the long arm and then I'm going to enter it into the Clackamas County Fair just for fun!
This quilt has been done for a while but I didn't know what to do with it once I got finished (that ever happened to you?) That was until I made my boxed in quilting continuous straight line quilting method. That's what I'm gonna do here.
Projects by the numbers:
Finished!: GIL Quilt! Big Finish!
Needs Binding: 4 baby quilts
Needs Quilting: Asian Flower Long arm next week!, Hot/Cold vintage bento
Needs Piecing: Small Nine Patch, 1/4 bento box, Shrinking Squares
Needs Cutting: Rainbow baby blankets
Needs Design: a queen sized quilt for a male friend, still tinkering with it
I really like how my list is moving out with the old...some of the really, really old. That gives my mind room to work and create!
Thanks for sharing in my WIP's. For more project inspiration hop on over to Lee's at Freshly Pieced and check out all the quilters!
