Christmas Eve will be my 1 Year mark for quilting. Last year I made my first sample quilt a 3 x 3 block test of a rag quilt. Since then I have made a lot of quilts mostly small. What I really want to do is make a BIG quilt that I would use. But am scared to make something big for the fear to fail. Such is life.

Oh gosh I haven't even though about Christmas yet! I'm working right now on Thanksgiving. I'm trying to make a square table topper for my two lady friends.
I really like to give handmade gifts, but I need to kick into high gear to get ready for Christmas. I'm wanting to make several table toppers and some purses this year. But, I'd love more ideas for good gifts to make.

Baking! We love to make homemade baked goodies during the holidays. Cookies, Pumpkin bread, pies etc..... no one is watching their waistline during the holidays!
I haven't decided what to sew for Christmas yet but I've already made my sloe gin!
Quilts and cookies! Each year we try and do something the grandkids will not get from anyone else and we often do a family gifts..we have done pool tables, ping pong tables..zoo memberships...and this year quilts and as a family they are getting cookies! I have made 10 quilts this year. Each one colors I hope my grand children will love and treasure for years to come. Would love to have some fun holiday prints to sew with...maybe some stockings.....
We're making Grandkid decorated placemats for the grandparents. I also have some pajama pants cut out for my husband and I. I would really like to finish a quilt, but I just had a baby so that may be on the back burner for a bit.
I'm hoping to make some mug mats and mug hugs as they aren't so time consuming but still handmade!
First I have to make my new grandaughter a Christmas stocking. Then maybe some gifts of those square baskets that tie at the corners. Thanks,

I have some grand plans for a few quilts for family for Christmas. I started cutting one but I have 3 more that I haven't touched yet. Eek, I better get started
Every Christmas I try to make at least a few handmade items. This year, I actually have requests (which is cool) for handmade things. I'm going to make a few wintery pillowcases, crochet a pair of slippers and my nephew would like a wallet. I usually make some ornaments too!
I have two quilts that I would really like to finish by Christmas but whether that happens or not- it remains to be seen. I also have a bunch of frill scarves that I will give away and probably some bead jewelery-
It is always fun to create things- It is sometimes hard to find enough time to do so.
Regards from western Canada,
Anna
