Hello there! It's been a little bit since I wrote about sewing and the garden. As goes with absence from this space there has been a lot happening behind the screen.
The garden has been bursting and I have been doing my best to keep up with preserving the harvest.
In between I manage to sew and cut a little bit here and there. Let me show you...
As a reward for my diligent canning and freezing I cut up the rest of my scraps for the Japanese x+ blocks. 10 more happy little scrappy piles make me smile.
Th garden is showing off, really brilliant sunflower!
Isn't this lovely?! A jar of roasted cherry tomatoes waiting in the sun. Preserving is such a wonderful thing.
Urban foraging yields a supply of concord grapes for making the most amazing jelly I have ever tasted.
Master jelly making achieved!
So that's what I have been working on these past weeks. Still have quilt tops to quilt and more blocks to make for a couple quilts in the works but right now I am feeling pretty good about my WIP progress. Small steps will get me to the finish and a better peace of mind.
I have also been stocking my Etsy shop with all the things I have made this past year. At the end of the month I plan on doing a Store Front Meet Up post about all that. I have been turning things over in my head for a while and I am ready to let it out :)
I hope you are doing well and have had a memorable summer...fall is just around the weekend.
